Controversion and Coincidence

Being a lovingly parodic tribute to the works of Jane Austen, written by ladies of character and breeding.  Chapters to be published weekly in hopes of giving pleasure to readers of a similarly affectionate and satirical mind.

Your humble authoresses:

EBD. Editor, aesthete, and primogenitrix of Controversion and Coincidence.
CMS. Teacher, scholar, the first to follow EBD into the literary fray.
JKW. Artist and designer, always to be relied upon to provide controversions and coincidences.
LMA. Physician, poet, final but most dedicated addition to the ladies of character and breeding.

Contributions to each chapter will be designated by the initials of the writers so that you, Readers, may follow the wrinkles, twists, and conundra thrown from one authoress to the next–always, of course, in the most modest and seemly of fashions.

  1. I am absolutely chuffed this marvelous opus is seeing the light of day! It’s been a long time in coming, but it’s truly been a joy seeing it come together over the years. Much as I eagerly awaited each addition with bated breath, I look forward to seeing each chapter published to the blog with bated breath!

  2. Dr. Acosta, Thanks SO much for referring me to this delightful piece of work! You and your partners in literature may have changed my mind about fan fiction. I loved it. If medicine ever fails you, there’s a position waiting for you in the halls of the humanities! Karen Knox (MAP study lumbar puncture victim) 2 Jan. 2018

    1. You are most welcome! I’m so glad that you enjoyed it, and possibly even opened another world within fiction for you — fan fiction, that is. It means a lot to me that a fellow Jane-ite (who is not related to me and who didn’t help write the novel) actually liked it. Continued happy literature trails to you!
